Tomorrow, March 8th, is International Women’s Day. It’s an opportunity to celebrate women’s achievements and to call for greater equality for women, no matter where they are in the world. The theme for IWD 2015 is ‘Make it Happen’. I am making it happen by sharing some of my favourite photos of women I have seen and met on my travels. I hope you find these photos interesting and they give you pause for thought about how far we have come but also how much more there is to do to ensure real equality for women.
Happy International Women’s Day!
A wonderful post and sage reminder, Fiona. Many thanks.
Thanks Liz. I often think of those three women in Damascus and wonder where they are today.
G’day What a great post Fiona to inspire us all today!
Cheers! Joanne
Thanks Joanne – I aim to please.
Beautiful photos. A lovely post! Thank you…..
Thanks very much Pamela.
Happy International Women’s day. We have a public holiday in August to celebrate women so I always forget about this day 🙂
That’s great news Tandy and very forward thinking. I look forward to the day the ‘Minister for Women’ does likewise in Australia.
