The Coffee Post – Turning Tragedy Into Triumph

Hypothetically, what would you do if you came home from a week away and discovered that due to a horrible oversight, you were down to two scoops of coffee for your three scoop plunger? Would you make a smaller plunger or say… be tempted to make up the third scoop using your husband’s decaf coffee. If he drank decaf that is. And just say you decided, out of desperation, to use a scoop of decaf but it meant that in the morning there was no coffee in the house at all? Just imagine that, hypothetically, such an incident played out in your kitchen. Would you then have the strength to venture out to the roasters and replenish your supplies of coffee? If such an appalling scenario were to occur, would you be able to make it as far as the letterbox perhaps? If you could muster the strength, a little bean of hope may be waiting in that letterbox for you. Well it could be if you were subscribed to The Coffee Post.

The Coffee Post has made the simple idea of coffee delivered to your letterbox a reality. Brisbane based but posting Australia wide, The Coffee Post brings quality coffee to your door on a monthly basis. A roster of roasters. Chosen from Brisbane roasters, it’s a chance to try new beans and blends you may not have encountered before. I was sent* a box of ‘Feeling Woolly’ blend from local outfit Black Sheep Coffee who roast just a hop, step and a jump away from my house. I would never have known about this place if it wasn’t for The Coffee Post.

A coffee subscription costs between $30 – $35 a month for

  • 2 x 250g bags of espresso beans/ground coffee
  • 2 x espresso vouchers
  • postage (you don’t need to be home when your coffee is delivered though you may want to be on the lookout for caffeine starved neighbours)

Best of all, you can subscribe as a one off, for three months, 12 months or as long as you like. You an also un-subscribe at any time. The Coffee Post is a brilliant idea. Great news for Brisbane coffee roasters trying to connect with consumers and for coffee drinkers who may have run out. Hypothetically speaking.

*TIFFIN was sent a one off subscription of coffee beans courtesy of The Coffee Post and Liquidity Marketing. The use of decaf in a fit of desperation was purely hypothetical, for storytelling purposes….

I like black sheep coffee and this coffee mail out idea sounds great ! We are lucky to have a roaster just around the corner so we hardly ever run out.

I though the pricing was very reasonable. I checked out the price of the coffee direct from the roaster and the mark up is negligible so it’s a great idea for busy people!

We’ve run out of beans but lucky for me the shops are a block away as our postal service is terrible 🙂

Yes, it’s probably just as well that the shops re a block away and I know you can walk there when the traffic is terrible during the summer!

I love the packaging Fiona and love that coffee is not too far away as you would not want to see me if I did not have my morning coffee! lol
